Aditya Man Shrestha is a senior freelance journalist of Nepal. He has been involved in the research work for a long time. He was the associate coordinator, International Institute for Development Studies (IIDS) study project on Conflict Resolution and Sustainable Peace resulting into four volumes of publications. The exercise done by about 25 leading scholars and activists came forward with various options for pragmatic solutions on controversial issues like the institution of monarchy, national security, foreign policy, state restructuring, economic development, ethnic issues, etc. from 2005 to 2006. He headed the MSI (Media Services International) team for media monitoring on elections of 1999, 2002 and royal proclamation. He was also the leader of UNICEF-sponsored survey on teenagers of Nepal, 2000. Similarly he was the team leader of the evaluation of Devi, a tele-serial in Nepal TV broadcast for 3 years in 1999. He had experience in public opinion polls on public affairs in Nepal like women’s status, corruption, open border with India, and primary education, etc. Mr. Shrestha is frequent columnist in several newspapers in English and Nepali. He is known for his objective views on national affairs of Nepal and is appreciated for his predictive capacity on many political developments.
